The group of the 32 best and brightest minds on Earth, convened by Sunil Ramachandran in the weeks after the Collapse and named for the flood myth that appears across religions and cultures. Initially, the Ark's goal was to try and stabilize the surface of the world, but it quickly became clear that conditions were too hostile – they had to move underground. Using a blend of existing bunkers and new construction, Ramachandran and his cohorts established a network of subterranean cities across the world to house the surviving members of humanity while they figured out how to restore the surface of the Earth. The Ark’s network consists of 78 bunkers across the world, ranging in population from 2,000-5,000 people. Each member of the Ark lives in a different bunker, and they convene via hologram or within the Everreach.
